I am postdoctoral fellow at the University of Potsdam, Chair of Empirical Economics. I am a member of the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE), affiliated with the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and the University of Passau, and coordinator of the Center for Economic Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Potsdam. I attained a Ph.D. at the University of Passau and was a fellow in the Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics (BGPE).
My main research fields are labor economics, family economics, gender economics and policy evaluation. I am also interested in different topics in applied microeconometrics in general.
My research evolves around the question of how households and families are affected by labor market shocks or policy reforms, with a particular focus on the resulting inequalities at different levels (e.g., between and within households, regional differences, socio-demographic differences). I am particularly interested in gaining a deeper understanding of gender inequalities in the labor market. Furthermore, as member of the BSoE Research Unit on Labour Market Transformation: Scarcity, Mismatch and Policy, another focus is on human capital investment during working life in the face of a rapidly changing labor market, with a particular emphasis on the interaction of workers, firms and managers in training decisions.
